Slimduct SD is a premium cover for linesets. Slimduct is a PVC cover protects the lineset from UV rays, weather damage, pests, and vandalism. It also gives a professional appearance to the installation. Installations are usually wall-mounted and Slimduct is available in five different colors: white, ivory, gray, brown, and black.
McIntyre also describes Slimduct RD, our commercial lineset cover that is for larger heat pump or VRF systems.
The anti-corrosive coating of Slimduct RD consists of zinc, aluminum, and magnesium. The coating makes Slimduct RD a lighter alternative to galvanized steel, another lineset cover material.
McIntyre discusses ways to safeguard mini-split units from harm. One method is to elevate them off the ground. This helps prevent damage caused by pet urine, bad weather and other outside elements. Inaba Denko America has mini split brackets to lift the units off the ground, as well as pads.
Condensation management is a topic that he sheds some light on as Inaba Denko accessories promote condensate flow. Mechanical code requires the mini-inline trap or P-trap, even if some manufacturers don't recommend it.
