Q. What benefit does LineBrace have over traditional cushion-type clamping methods?

A. LineBrace is designed to carry the weight of a copper lineset riser and works in tandem with cushion-type clamps, not as a replacement. Installed at the center of the riser, it helps manage thermal expansion and prevents lineset sagging that can lead to kinks or compressor damage — a risk with degraded cushion clamps. There’s currently no other product like it on the market.

Q. Does LineBrace create corrosion issues due to metal-on-metal contact?

A. No. LineBrace uses a type 304 stainless steel clamp, which is compatible with copper piping. The clamp’s placement and materials avoid electrolytic corrosion. Additionally, the hot-dipped galvanized and powder-coated base bracket, along with the temporary clamping plate, adds dielectric protection and corrosion resistance.
