A. You can use the Slimduct RD Metal lineset cover in areas with saline soil. Please review the Instruction Manual for detailed guidance.

A. Our standard metal lineset cover is not load-bearing. While the walkway type can support a person temporarily for maintenance, it’s not designed for regular foot traffic.
Q. The surface is starting to rust. Is it not corrosion-resistant?
A. The Slimduct RD Metal lineset cover is corrosion-resistant but not corrosion-proof. Damage made during installation or prolonged exposure can result in surface rust. Over time, protective zinc layers will degrade naturally. Please refer to the Product Catalog for more details.
Q. Can I switch from the standard type to the walkway type by changing only the cover?
A. No. The supports need to be upgraded to heavier-duty types for the Slimduct RD Metal lineset cover to safely function as a walkway type.

A. Use S Type RZM Brackets and RZB Risers. For RD-150 type installation, use the 300 S Type or RZW brackets suited for wall mounting. Avoid longer bracket types that may cause balance issues.
Q. Is it possible to buy just a reinforcement plate?
A. Yes, you can purchase individual reinforcement plates by contacting Inaba Denko America or your nearest dealer.
Q. Do I need a wall plate or wall sleeve?
A. We recommend installing them. These accessories help prevent rainwater from entering the building. You may opt for a chamber box installation if water drainage is managed separately.
Q. If I install a standing Wall Sleeve or Wall Plate, will it completely stop water?
A. When properly installed as per the manual, the Slimduct RD Metal lineset cover prevents water penetration. However, effectiveness may vary by installation quality and environmental conditions.
Q. Can I use a free joint in place of a fixed joint?
A. Yes, if installed level to the ground. However, continuous use of free joints and corners may reduce strength over time. Fixed joints are recommended for stable and lasting installations.
Q. What should I know when cutting a straight-line duct?
